Auto Avia Design has extensive experience in the design of side mounted, centreline and retractable FLIR installations using FLIR units manufactured by Cumulus, LEO and FLIR Systems.

FLIR installations exist for the following aircraft:

  • Eurocopter AS350/355 – LEO II FLIR

  • MBB BO-105-LS-A3 – IRENCO LEO 400 FLIR

  • Piper PA31 – Irenco Leo 400 SPIR/SPTV, centreline mounted
  • Piper PA31-350 – FLIR Systems Ultra 7500, centreline mounted
  • Cessna C182 – Irenco Leo 400 SPIR/SPTV, side mounted
  • Cessna C206 – Star Safire, centreline mounted, retractable

This Star Safire FLIR installation retracts into the cargo pod and belly of the C206 and incorporates both an electrical and emergency manual retraction system.
